Grant for a new volunteer initiative

Last week, a majority among the citizens' representation's parties signed an agreement for Copenhagen Municipality's budget 2024. The following appears from this:

Cph Volunteers annually mediates volunteers for approx. 80 cultural and sports events in Copenhagen. The grant for Cph Volunteers expires in 2023.

There will be allocated:

- 0.6 million DKK annually on service in 2024-2027 for a new volunteer initiative

The parties (i.e. the parties behind the text of the agreement, ed.) agree that the Culture and Leisure Committee allocates additional funding within its own framework to establish a new volunteer initiative.

The Culture and Leisure administration is clarifying the detailed process. In particular, the focus is on giving applicants the best possible time to prepare good applications, obtain board mandates, seek out business partners, etc. The expectation is still that the new initiative will launch during the first quarter of 2024.
